One-to-one and small group English tutoring for ages 9–18
Supporting confidence, understanding, and meaningful academic progress
I bring together over 10 years’ teaching experience with a background in mindfulness and personal development. Alongside teaching academically in London schools, I’ve supported students to build focus, emotional awareness, and self-regulation.
My approach is calm, attentive, and very much about connection—both with the subject and between student and teacher. I find that students learn best when they feel comfortable, understood, and able to be themselves. There’s space for curiosity, a bit of humour, and those moments where things start to click.
In a world that’s changing quickly, I see English as more than just exams. Of course results matter, but it’s also about helping students grow in confidence, think independently, and feel a sense of meaning (and of course enjoyment) in their learning.
What I Offer
One-to-one and small group English and English Literature tutoring for ages 9 to 18
Confidence building and structured, personalised learning support
Sessions tailored to each student’s needs, pace, and learning style
Support for home-educated students, including flexible, curriculum-based or interest-led learning
I work with families who value education and are looking for thoughtful, high-quality one-to-one support.
My students are often creative and curious, or benefit from additional confidence, structure, and encouragement in their learning.
I’m also open to working with neurodivergent learners where there is a good fit, and where a calm, relational approach supports their needs.
I am based in South East London and offer sessions in person and online, weekdays primarily, with some availability in evenings and at weekends.
