One-to-one and small group English and Literature tutoring for ages 9–18
Supporting confidence, understanding, and meaningful academic progress
I bring together over 10 years’ teaching experience with a background in mindfulness and personal development. Alongside teaching academically in London schools, I’ve supported students to build focus, self-awareness and emotional regulation.
My approach is calm, attentive, and very much about connection—both with the subject and between student and teacher. I find that students learn best when they feel comfortable, understood, and able to be themselves. There’s space for curiosity, humour, and those moments where things start to click. My aim is to help learners develop better understanding of how they work and develop life long strategies to harness this.
In a world that’s rapidly changing, I see English and Literature as about more than passing exams. Alongside helping students to achieve the grades they need, my aim is to boost their confidence, learn to think independently, and feel a sense of meaning and enjoyment in their learning.
I work with both school students studying the national curriculum and exam boards, and also those being home schooled and following a more interest based education.
